Get to know Gerry
I have over fifteen years of industry experience and 5 years experience as a management consultant, assessing and guiding organizations to produce higher value, increase productivity and quality, delivered by a highly motivated, empowered workforce. Coaching and training ensure the transition plans to adopt Agile (Scrum, Kanban, Lean) are achieved.
I also speak regularly at industry conferences as a recognized expert in Agile methods, including the largest conference each year, Agile 2010 and 2011.
While many Agile consultants focus solely on the IT industry, my passions and interest take me beyond, to government, education, science and faith communities.
Before consulting, I spent 10 years experience as a developer, QA manager, then project manager. I’ve also worked for small and medium-sized businesses, including a non-profit overseas.
Tools, tools, tools. I’ve experimented with numerous tools and methods to foster collaboration across the digital wire, giving me the goto guy label when someone has a need for a better way to do something. Most often I can recommend a solution that saves time and delivers high value. I have strong experience working with distributed teams, spending a lot of time collaborating and working online, and rely on a daily dose of blogs and Twitter to keep me up-to-date.
